Drivers Meeting, Group Photos

Ladies and gentlemen!  Saddle up!  Start your engines!  Let's ride the Raging Bull!

Today we will embark on an amazing driving adventure starting in the Ouachita Mountains and onto the Ozark Mountains.  Our journey will cover some of the most amazingly beautiful and twisty roads and scenic overlooks in Arkansas.  You will be amazed at the quality and thrill of the roads.  And you will fall in love with your car all over again.

Day 3 | Saturday, November 4 | Drive Day (259 miles)

This is THE day.  It will be an incredibly fun day of driving on some of the best roads of the Ozarks.  We will escape to another dimension, enjoying the amazing sights and immersing ourselves in the intoxicating sounds from our cars echoing from the tree-lined roads and mountainsides.  We will own the roads and declare them our playground.  You will not believe roads like this exist, and you will wonder if this is even real.  We will have more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.

Day 4 | Sunday, November 5 | Drive Day (151 miles)

We will have a lazy morning following yesterday's challenging and exciting run.  Today will be our final day of driving some of the best roads in Arkansas.  You will finish today and our road trip a better and more skilled driver than when you arrived.  And you will likely be making plans to attend the next Arkansas Stampede.  We have planned for an early arrival at our destination lodge to unwind, enjoy the amazing views, and get ready for the Farewell Dinner.  The day will conclude with hanging out and fellowship by the cars and under the stars.  We will all enjoy a great night of rest following our exhilarating three-day road trip.

Day 5 | Monday, November 6 | Say Good-Byes, Reluctantly Return Home

Breakfast at lodge, final good-byes, depart at your leisure.

OPTIONAL (PRE-TRIP) SCENIC RALLIES FROM TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA TO ARKANSAS

Rally from Austin, Texas to Oklahoma | Monday, October 30 | Drive Day (330 miles)

We'll meet for a scrumptious breakfast at a historic diner for breakfast.  With our bodies and stallions fueled up, we'll embark on a spirited 330-mile rally to Oklahoma with breaks at two unique and famous Texas landmarks as well as a lakeside lunch.  Our journey will conclude with arriving at a beautiful lakeside resort which we will enjoy for two nights.

Stay at Lakeside Resort in Oklahoma | Tuesday, October 31 | Rest/Exploration Day

After a full day of fun driving on Monday, we'll take today to rest, relax, and enjoy the lakeside resort and all the nearby attractions including hiking/biking trails, scenic overlooks, watersports (kayaking and swimming), fishing, many indoor activities, and museums.

Drivers coming from midwestern states will join the group here for the next rally to Arkansas.

Rally from Oklahoma to Arkansas | Wednesday, November 1 | Drive Day (220 miles)

This will be an extremely fun and scenic driving adventure on hilly, twisty, and scenic Oklahoma country roads to some of the most famous landmarks and views in Oklahoma.  Lunch will be followed by more fun roads to our place of stay for the next two nights: an incredible resort in the Ouachita Mountains in Arkansas.  The mountaintop views will be our reward for completing a challenging day of driving.

Stay at Mountaintop Lodge in Arkansas | Thursday, November 2 | Rest/Exploration Day

After another full day of fun and scenic driving on Wednesday, we will take today to rest, relax, and enjoy the mountaintop resort and all the activities it offers.  The fall color views from the resort will be amazing.  You will not want to leave.  It's that good.

Drivers coming for the main event will join us at the lodge today.

ACCOMMODATIONS

wilderness-club-at-big-cedar-exterior-dusk RS logo.jpg

Knowing it is high season and the peak of color change in Arkansas during late October and early November, a block of rooms has already been reserved at some of the best lodges, resorts, and hotels in the towns where our journey will take us, including a mountain lodge and a lakeside resort.  The full itinerary including the towns to be visited and hotels reserved will be revealed to registered participants (who request to know) one week before the event.  (Most participants prefer not to know so it is a surprise every day.)

Rooms will have either King or Double Queen beds, depending on the location.  At every accommodation, where available, a suite or higher has been reserved, but quantities are limited.  Early registrations will receive choice of the higher class rooms reserved.
