Join us for a 261-mile early-morning spirited and scenic run to lunch in Fredericksburg and back to Austin.

This will be the final local Austin run of 2026.

This may be the longest BOAR Run we've ever driven.

  But it's the best time of the year to be driving and enjoying the outdoors​​​​​​​​.

This primary features of this run are:

​​​​​​​

• the nicest and safest drivers in Austin

• LOTS of elevation change (15,598 ft.)

• NINE of The Tourmaster's favorite roads near Austin including many roads we haven't driven in a year.

• lunch destination: German restaurant in Fredericksburg

  • the run to Fredericksburg is 172 miles of amazing roads

  • after lunch, The Tourmaster will treat everyone to ice cream at an old-fashioned ice cream parlor

  • you are welcome to stay in Fredericksburg after lunch to tour/shop the town and enjoy the cool fall weather

• ​final destination: Mozart’s Cafe in Austin

  • ​the run back to Austin after lunch is 89 miles of fun roads (not a direct route)

  • the patio overlooking Lake Austin at Mozart’s is a wonderful place to hang out on a beautiful fall day.  You can invite your spouse/family to join us at Mozart’s after the drive.

Start Location:  This is a private event. To avoid unwanted attention, the start location will be announced via email to registered drivers a few days before the event.  (Hint: It will be in west Austin.)

• YOU ARRIVE AND DRIVE.  WE HANDLE EVERY DETAIL.

• The route, rest stop, and restaurant have been scouted in advance.

• Turn-by-turn driving directions will be provided at the Drivers Meeting.

• For your safety, you are REQUIRED to bring a functioning BaoFeng radio such as a UV-5R, BF-F8HP, or variant which can accept CTCSS codes, preferably one programmed by The Tourmaster. No radio, no drive for you. Your radio must pass the radio test at the start of the event.  (A programmed high-power radio may be purchased for $75. See registration section for details.)

• Every driver and passenger will be required to sign a liability waiver.

• The cost of lunch is not included in the Registration Fee.

• A professional photographer will capture our fun and memorable times.

• Every driver is expected to follow the driving rules outlined and explained in the Participant Guide. This Guide is a culmination of more than 22 years of touring experience involving more than 160 tours.  It is a proven model that helps ensure that we have a lot of fun in a responsible way and that the driving tours are conducted with the utmost safety to the participants and the public.

• Please note that for this run a Technical Inspection is NOT required and there is no tire inspection before the tour. So, for this tour, please disregard the sections in the Participant Guide pertaining to the Technical Inspection (#23) and tire inspection (#24).
